Karen's career in the event production world started in 1993. Having lived and worked in France for over 10 years, Karen returned to England and discovered the events world. Working for several major event production companies based in London and Paris, Karen had the privilege of working across a variety of industries producing a range of events for clients such as General Motors, Centrica and Microsoft.
Her love of travelling, meeting people and self-motivation, led Karen to start up her own company in 2001. A desire to provide unique events that are captivating and memorable has been Karen's ambition from the day she started.
Today, KD Event Production has a strong management team who have worked together for many years following established processes to ensure nothing is left to chance. Our individual skills and experiences complement one another and create a team who deliver creative, innovative and workable solutions for our clients.
Senior Account Manager
Before joining KD Event Production, Barry worked for over 20 years in one of world's largest pharmaceutical companies as their Event Manager.
Organising events all around the world was par for the course and has provided Barry with exceptional knowledge and skills to manage all types of events. Having worked alongside Karen from the start, Barry is passionate about developing creative programmes and building relationships with clients.
Utilising Barry's experience for the creation and development of your event is guaranteed to provide an original and successful outcome.
Vanessa started her career in the event world working for several major event production companies in London, where she managed high profile accounts such as Vauxhall Motors, Goldman Sachs and Gillette. It was during this time that she met and worked alongside Karen.
Vanessa joining KD Event Production in 2001 to work on the Microsoft account; however her time with KD Event Production was brief as she then moved to New Zealand for four years. Upon returning to the UK she re-joined the company on the management team to head up the Logistics Department.
Vanessa has exceptional logistical skills together with a natural ability to organise and be forward thinking. These provide her with the essential tools she needs to ensure each event runs smoothly.
Paul provides expert knowledge on the technical side of our events. He can advise, recommend and source audio, lighting and rig/stage equipment suitable for every type of event such as roadshows, exhibitions and conferences all around the world.
His flexibility, can-do attitude, relentless energy and enthusiasm are infectious which means there's never a dull moment when he's around.
Business Development Manager
With 18 years of experience gained from the client side, Fiona's business acumen and marketing experience ensures we constantly see the client's point of view, making sure rationales and objectives are met.
During her time working for a worldwide FTSE 100 company she was responsible for the growth and development of international brands. Commercially aware of the importance of delivering within budget and maximising the ROI, she is a key driver of cost efficiencies within the company.
